Who we are

Merxia Global, an agricultural trading company founded in 2024 by entrepreneurs with extensive experience sourcing commodities for large processors and exporters, was established to bring the benefit of our considerable sourcing network to a wider range of customers.

Over many years of sourcing agro commodities we have developed deep relationships with farmers and their communities and this forms the bedrock of our sourcing capability. We are committed to working with smallholder farmers and helping them prosper by connecting them directly to global markets.

We believe that quality starts from the farm which is why we chose to work directly with farmers. To achieve our quality goals we help our farmers with:

The training they need to implement the FAO's Good Agricultural Practices standards.
Access to improved crop varieties allowing them to maintain high farm productivity.
Training on post-harvest handling leading to reduced losses, higher quality produce for our customers and higher income for themselves.
Access to researchers and consultants from the leading local agricultural institutes helping them to stay up to date with the relevant knowledge they need to succeed.

We strongly believe that our continued success is built on the relationships we have built with our farmers and their communities and we work hard to ensure that they enjoy the benefits of participation in global trade. It is these relationships that give us the confidence to assure our trading partners of access to premium quality commodities in the quantities they need.

Our Products

Our cashews are sourced from Ogbomosho, globally recognised as a region that produces high quality cashew nuts. Once harvested the nuts are sun-dried until our target moisture content is achieved. The nuts are then carefully inspected to ensure only nuts of the highest quality are selected and packed into jute bags for shipment.

Our soybean are sourced are sourced from farms and agents across Nigeria's middle belt. We select the highest quality beans, clean and package them for distribution.

We source our shea nut from the locations within Nigeria reknown for the high oil content and quality. In addition, we train our collectors and staff in post harvest handling to ensure the kernels maintain oil quality from field to warehouse.
